The Fifine M9
Thanks to Fifine for sending out the M9 mic for me to check out! I've never used wireless mics like this so it was cool to give this a spin. I had been thinking of adding some wireless mics to my kit for a while, so this was serendipitous.
New Recording Profile
I also changed the video profile on my camera from HLG to Slog3 Cine4. I found working with HLG to be more difficult than it was worth since I wasn't trying to produce HDR content. Flattening the HDR profile to SDR proved to come with some quality loss, so I decided to change it up to make it easier for me to grade in post with an SDR profile. Especially with controlling the lighting, stepping away from HDR wasn't an issue at all.
