Using Lummi to Update My Framer Template [Fotografisk Update 1]

I decided that as I build Fotografisk, my Framer photography template, it would be fun to share the journey! I recorded an update video giving a walkthrough of the pages I've built so far along with how I use Lummi to populate the content.

It's been a handy tool to fill up the photo albums with good looking images instead of spending my time sifting through generic stock photography.

Thoughts on Using GenAI Imagery

I do still feel somewhat weird about using AI-generated imagery because of how the LLM's are trained on a crazy amount of copyrighted and personal data they did not license or get permission to use. I am not a fan of this whatsoever—even my own data and work has been used in these models (I can imagine they love my photography Instagram 😅).

In this use-case, I am using these Gen AI images as placeholder content. I am not generating imagery and claiming the work as my own. I am building Fotografisk as my own photography site as much as a template in the Framer marketplace. I will be replacing these images with my own photography—that is my hope for people who use the site as well.
