The identity for Elphinstone Community College is built from a simple but intentional idea: anchor the brand in something the community instantly recognizes. Mount Elphinstone becomes that anchor. Rather than treating it as a literal illustration, the mountain is reduced to a clean, flowing silhouette—subtle enough to feel modern, but distinct enough to carry meaning. It ties the college directly to Gibsons and the surrounding region, reinforcing a sense of familiarity and belonging.

A Flexible Visual Device

The Mount Elphinstone form isn’t a one-off graphic—it’s a system. Its curved profile is designed to repeat, scale, and adapt across applications without losing clarity. On larger formats, it expands into layered bands, creating depth and rhythm. In tighter spaces, it simplifies into a single contour that still holds its identity.
