Project Overview
This project focused on creating a distinct and meaningful identity for Golden Moon Connections, an animal communication practice rooted in intuition, connection, and symbolism. The goal was to develop a logo and supporting materials that felt personal to Ayesha’s process while standing apart from the visual clichés often associated with spiritual and metaphysical branding.
The result is a bespoke identity system that balances symbolism with clarity—grounded in recognizable elements, but refined into something more intentional and ownable.
Reinterpreting a Familiar Symbol
At the center of the identity is the Triple Goddess symbol: a full moon flanked by two crescents. While widely used, many existing interpretations feel nearly identical, limiting their ability to differentiate a brand.
To address this, the composition was reworked with more deliberate spacing, allowing each element to breathe and feel less ornamental. This subtle shift transforms the symbol from something purely decorative into a more considered mark, giving it presence and distinction while still retaining its original meaning.
Symbolism Through Form
The connection between the crescent moons introduces a secondary layer of meaning. A golden gradient links the shapes together, forming an eye-like structure—an abstract but intentional reference to Ayesha’s process. Establishing a connection begins with visualizing the animal clearly, making the eye a fitting and symbolic focal point.
This moment of alignment between concept and form extends further. The idea of a “golden thread,” described by Ayesha as part of her connection process, informed the introduction of subtle, intertwining strands around the central form. These elements reinforce the notion of connection without overwhelming the simplicity of the mark, adding depth while maintaining restraint.
A System Designed for Application
The logo’s proportions—long and narrow—directly influenced how it translates into real-world use, particularly on the business card. Rather than forcing the mark into a standard layout, the format embraces its shape, allowing it to span the card in a way that feels intentional and balanced.
The front of the card draws from tarot-inspired compositions, where central imagery is framed by supporting text. Early explorations included additional decorative elements, but these were intentionally removed to preserve clarity. At this scale, simplicity becomes a strength, ensuring the logo remains the focal point.
Supporting Elements and Detail
The reverse side of the card introduces a more functional layout, using the icon-only version of the logo alongside clearly structured contact information. To complement this, a series of custom constellations—formed into animal shapes—adds a layer of visual interest without competing for attention.
These constellations extend the brand’s visual language, tying together themes of the night sky, guidance, and connection. They act as a flexible supporting element that can be applied across future materials, helping the identity expand without losing cohesion.
Building a Cohesive Identity
Together, these elements create a system that feels both symbolic and grounded. The core mark carries the primary narrative, while the supporting details—gradients, linework, and constellations—provide texture and flexibility.
The identity positions Golden Moon Connections as thoughtful and intentional, avoiding overused visual tropes in favor of a more refined and personal expression. It’s a balance of meaning and restraint, designed to resonate with the nature of the work while remaining clear, distinctive, and adaptable.
