Lillooet Wild – Brand Development
The Project
I had the opportunity to design the logo for Lillooet Wild, a collaborative initiative between Lillooet Brewing Co. and the Lillooet Naturalist Society to bring awareness to Lillooet's wildlife.
I also helped with branding and direction of the website (as of checking July 2025, it seems to not be live anymore and just redirects to the Lillooet Brewing Co. website 😢, but I luckily documented it with screenshots).
The Logo
With this initiative focusing on wildlife, I went the route of outdoorsy summer camp as inspiration for the look and feel of the logo. The Logo needed to be versatile so that it looked good whether it was printed on a piece of paper or embroidered on a ball cap.

The shapes and colours of the logo are steeped with meaning representing the Lillooet region:
🔵 Outer blue ring: the Fraser River that runs through BC
🟡 The yellow ring represents the semi-arid desert region that Lillooet is a part of (yes, Canada has deserts!)
🟠 The orange ring represents the sun and the extreme heat Lillooet experiences in the summer
🟢 The green 'w' represents the mountains of the region
🟣 The purple point represents the valleys in which much of the space is farmland, growing crops that thrive in Lillooet's ecosystem that would otherwise have a hard time growing in Canada
All of these elements come together to create the Lillooet Wild logo, aptly showcasing what makes the region so special.
The Website
I provided the general design direction for the website and it was built in WordPress by The Number Creative. Leaning into the educational aspect of the summer camp vibe, I wanted colour to be everywhere!
The background of the website is purple, making for an immediately distinct look and feel. The other colours are splashed contextually across each page, making them lively and engaging.

Brand Crossover
There is a wildlife compendium that uses illustrations from Lillooet Brewing's library to connect the two (more info on that here). Clicking on each animal would provide a population map of where that animal resides within the BC province.
This also provided a connection to the brewery, helping to build interest in Lillooet Brewing Co.

The YouTube Channel
Unfortunately it looks like no content was added to the yt channel post-launch, but I designed a couple thumbnails for the videos, tying in with the look and feel of the brand.
